ABOUT THE ARTIST

Hello, I am Jae Valdez. I am a Chicago-based artist focusing on developing a sense of community with artists of any medium that I encounter through a commonly shared passion for art and creativity. I am the founder of FreeFall Skate Co., a custom skateboard and skateboard-related apparel business. I am also the co-founder of FreeLove Studios, an art collective/community building art studio located in Chicago. I am an art student at the Art Institute of Chicago as well as DePaul University. In my work, I explore many themes through a wide variety of mediums, including but not limited to painting, drawing, printmaking, mural painting, graffiti, filmmaking, tattooing, sculpting, installations, and clothing.
